Look at the Birds

TRANSCRIPT:

And I'll read from Matthew 6:19-34, and we'll be looking particularly at verse 26 this morning. Matthew 6:19-24 reads:

"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. It is Finished

TRANSCRIPT:

John 19:30: "So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, 'It is finished!' And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit."

Let us pray. Oh Lord our God, we pray that in these few moments around Your word, we would be kept near the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by Your Holy Spirit, that You would raise our affections, that we might forever glory in the cross of our Savior. Oh Jesus, we love You. Help us to love You more. We ask it in Jesus' name, Amen.

These three words in English, "it is finished," … Continue reading...

The Cost of Discipleship: Forsaking All

Luke 14:25-33: "Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and said to them, 'If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has enough to finish it—lest, after he has laid the foundation and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to mock him, sa… Continue reading...
