Acts chapter number 2, and we'll read verse 38 to verse number 47.
Then Peter said to them, "Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call." And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, "Be saved from this perverse generation." Then those who gladly received his word were baptized, and that day abo… Continue reading...
If you have turned in your Bibles to Exodus, before we read something from the New Testament, I just want to read a few more verses from Exodus 34. After God revealed Himself to Moses, the Scriptures record for us what happened to Moses in Exodus 34:29-35. When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand, as he came down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God. Aaron and all the people of Israel saw Moses, and behold, the skin of his fac… Continue reading...

Heavenly Father, we pray for Your illumination today, that You'd help us to understand this portion of Scripture that we are about to look into. So Father, I pray that You would help us to understand these truths that we may apply to live the fullest Christian life that we can possibly live. In Jesus' name, Amen.
So, I'll get you to open your Bibles to John Chapter 9. John Chapter 9, and we're going to read the first 12 verses. Zach kindly read for us 13 and beyond, but we're going to focus on the first 12 verses, s… Continue reading...
We'll be reading Isaiah chapter number 7 verse 10 through to verse number 14. Isaiah chapter 7 verse 10: "Moreover the Lord spoke again to Ahaz, saying, 'Ask a sign for yourself from the Lord your God; ask it either in the depth or in the height above.' But Ahaz said, 'I will not ask, nor will I test the Lord.' Then he said, 'Hear now, O house of David! Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will you weary my God also? Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call His… Continue reading...
Acts 6:1-7
Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, "It is not desirable that we should leave the Word of God and serve tables. Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business. But we will give ourselves continually to … Continue reading...
Galatians Chapter 3:15-18 reads, "Brethren, I speak in the manner of men: though it is only a man's covenant, yet if it is confirmed, no one annuls or adds to it. Now to Abraham and his Seed were the promises made. He does not say, 'And to seeds,' as of many, but as of one, 'And to your Seed,' who is Christ. And this I say, that the law, which was four hundred and thirty years later, cannot annul the covenant that was confirmed before by God in Christ, that it should make the promise of no effect. For if the inheritance is of the law, it is … Continue reading...
Galatians Chapter 3, verses 10 through 14, reads as follows:
"For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.' But that no one is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident, for 'the just shall live by faith.' Yet the law is not of faith, but 'the man who does them shall live by them.' Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us—for it is written, '… Continue reading...

Galatians Chapter 3, I'll read verse one through to verse number nine. This morning, "O foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now being made perfect by the flesh? Have you suffered so many things in vain—if indeed it was in vain? Therefore … Continue reading...
Galatians Chapter 3, we'll consider verses 1 through 5. Galatians Chapter 3, we'll read verses 1 to 9, but our consideration this morning will be from verses 1 to 5. Galatians Chapter 3, verse 1: "O foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you that you should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was clearly portrayed among you as crucified? This only I want to learn from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith? Before we read God's word and look at it together, let's pray. Heavenly Father, we come to you with just one simple request. This morning, we pray that you would show us Your glory. And we are bold to ask this, Lord, even as Moses did and received an answer from You. For we know that You delight to show Your people Your glory. And Lord, this is our heart's desire, Lord, to gaze upon the glory of God. And so, open our eyes, speak to us now, we pray, in Jesus' name, Amen.
Let us read together Psalm 23, a Psalm of David. "He leads me in … Continue reading...

Galatians Chapter 2:11-21
Now when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face because he was to be blamed. For before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy. But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before them … Continue reading...

Galatians Chapter 2, and I'd like us to read verse 19 and verse 20 as we focus on verse 20 this morning. Galatians Chapter 2:19-20: "For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."
As we near the end of chapter 2 this morning, we remember that last week we looked at the objection that is most commonl… Continue reading...
Galatians Chapter 2:11-21 tells us of a confrontation between the Apostle Paul and Peter. Now, when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face because he was to be blamed. For before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy. But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of t… Continue reading...
We read in Galatians 2:15-17, "We who are Jews by nature and not sinners of the Gentiles, knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? Certainly not!"
Last week, we considered together the need f… Continue reading...

If you have your Bibles, please open them to Psalm 1. We'll actually be reading both Psalm 1 and 2 and looking at both Psalms together today. So let's read them now.
Psalm 1: Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he d… Continue reading...

Let us turn to Galatians 2, beginning in verse 1:
"Then after fourteen years, I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and also took Titus with me. And I went up by revelation, and communicated to them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to those who were of reputation, lest by any means I might run, or had run, in vain. Yet not even Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised. And this occurred because of false brethren secretly brought in, who came in by stealth to spy out our l… Continue reading...
